Hers is a long recovery, and Hunter realizes after a time that he enjoys their verbal skirmishes.
CIVIL WAR: A heartbroken Andrea leaves Hawthorne in a rush after Alex orders her to leave because he believes she betrayed him and his men. She returns to her old Union post, acting as a courier. After she leaves, Alex learns he has horribly misjudged Andrea. She convinces a rival to sell him Excaliber, a stallion he has been wanting for years.
Beulah Lockhart goes by the name of Bea and is running from her family - and her past. After the death of her grandmother, she was able to purchase a mercantile in Texas. A scar on her face made her an embarrassment to her family and the subject of bullying among her peers, but she finally feels at home in this small town. There is another positive to this move, and that is Lucien Moreau.
Chase Bishop can read auras, but he can’t predict the future and did not expect to come home and find his sister murdered. But now, here he is, on the run. He finds himself in the middle of nowhere where he’s suddenly sideswiped by a car. Thankfully it isn’t someone out to get him, but the owner of the car is the delightful Melinda Bradley.
