Phillippa Doubletree, Phil to her friends, has a trust fund, thus never has money issues. To give back to the community, she volunteers at a women’s shelter which takes care of battered women and their children. One night, she takes a severely battered woman to the Emergency Room for help and has a run-in with the handsome Physician’s Assistant, Decker Madina. Soon afterward, he asks Phil out.

Blair leaves Michigan to get away from the love of her life, Brandis, an alcoholic who causes chaos in her life and the lives of her family and his. She moves to Louisville, Kentucky to get a new start, where she opens Blair’s Kitchen, a well-loved restaurant. It is so popular, she decides to expand adding an annex, but is called back to Michigan where her life is turned upside down.

Audrey Powell finds running her late mother’s beloved teahouse, Tea and Poetry, to be a daunting task. Her cooking skills are abysmal. She is also still running the family published paper. Her identical twin sister, model Lucia, is also in crisis. The ladies decide to trade places, with Audrey masquerading as Lucia running the teahouse and Lucia running the paper.
