Peris Night: Terakon (Secret Language)

Melanie has what could pass for a normal life. She's a student at University and going out with friends. When she goes to the hottest nightclub in Salzburg, she meets Michael. He's handsome, and there's an air of mystery about him. When she overhears a conversation, and then her friend tells her it never took place, she doesn't trust Michael. Despite her gut instinct, he gets through the barrier she's put up and shows her a magical side of Salzburg she's never seen before. They cannot fight their feelings for one another, and the intense passion that overcomes them is impossible for them to combat. What she doesn't realize is that Michael has a secret, one that could be a deal breaker.

The emotions and descriptions jump off the page. Written in the first person from Melanie's point of view, the story throws the reader right into the middle of the action. Eva Maria Klima has a talent for writing in-depth scene descriptions as well as showing the feelings of her characters. The pace moves at lightning speed, leaving readers eager to find out what happens next. There are some parts of this book that have a poetic beauty to them; the sensual scenes especially, are beautiful and won't easily be forgotten. A fantastic book with vibrant characters and alluring language, Ms. Klima’s tale will stay with readers long after the last page.
