Sienna is a young, naïve screenwriter who is looking to Adam to supply her with information to spice up the love scenes in her scripts. Adam is a known partier and womanizer who has slept with almost all the married women in the small community. Sienna has no experience with men beyond kissing, but wants Adam to educate her in the ways of lovemaking. He agrees to have sex with her but there are consequences that neither of them takes into account. One of them is they fall in love with one another. Adam is terrified of commitment. Can he get over his phobia and make a relationship with Sienna work?

This is an emotion-filled novel that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat wondering what will happen next with the turn of each page. Adam is a deep, dark character with a lot of baggage and a need to evolve, which he does during the entire length of the piece. Sienna is a flatter character who changes very little. Everything there is to her is right on the surface. There are plenty of twists and turns in the plot of this story that will keep the reader thinking while reading. The sensitive issue of suicide is addressed in the story and is handled with respect and dignity. The backdrop of the novel is a marina and it is described so well that one feels as though they are there.
