PARANORMAL:  Quentin Etheridge is the nephew of Count Dracula. Gifted with immortality by his uncle after being fatally injured in the same car accident that killed his mother, Quentin will be 19 years old forever.  He glories in his eternal youth, wasting time and money in the most hedonistic ways possible. Quentin’s aimless undisciplined lifestyle comes to a brutal end when his uncle, in a fit of parental rage, sends his young protégé to Romania. Now Quentin must learn how to survive in a county steeped in folklore and superstitions; stripped of any contact with his L.A. coven. Commissioned by Dracula himself to find and kill a berserking werewolf, Quentin must figure out how to unleash the latent gifts he has inherited from his uncle — or die trying.

Anna Katmore has created a feisty tale of intrigue and romance with enough twists to keep the reader guessing. She has woven a great first-person look into the coming of age of an unruly, narcissistic vampire. The story is paced nicely, with enough genuine acerbic humor to lighten an otherwise ominous, oft-times foreboding look into the world of vampires, werewolves, witches and the like. At times, the characters seem a bit two dimensional; their quick-witted banter seems too pervasive. Ms. Katmore does an excellent job transforming the lead character and his evolution is absolutely believable. For a fun afternoon, “Fangs” is an easy read and delightfully entertaining!
