Genre:
Suspense-Thriller

Charlie McKay lives happily with her daughter Mack, in a small town. She has three other sisters, also adopted by Emmit and Savannah McKay. They are grown and have their own businesses. Charlie has difficulty trusting men after a disastrous relationship with Mack’s father, who was killed years before. When Craig Sutton rolls into town, she cannot deny her attraction, but doesn’t want to get attached. However, when a box left on her doorstep is filled with the body pieces of her dead ex, she will need all the help she can get. Someone is obviously out to get Charlie and Mack. Craig had other reasons for coming to town and did not expect to be pulled into this dangerous plot, nor into the complicated relationships of the McKay sisters.

Well, this book certainly kicks off with a bang! One thing is for sure, this story will definitely keep readers on their toes. However, this book does not stand alone. To avoid confusion, it is important to read the first two books in the series. The McKay sisters all have different personalities, but they are all irrational, stubborn, and downright intense. Their relationships are complex and if one has sisters, then they could relate to this family who are either fighting with each other or protecting each other. Most of the book consists of dialogue, and there is rarely much chance for sincere development. Be that as it may, the dialogue is intense and at times, extremely witty. This small town suspenseful mystery series will hit the spot for some afternoon reading!
