Taking a time travel romance all the way back to Ancient Egypt gives this book a unique edge that sets it apart from other novels in the genre. Whilst the story starts in the present, it soon takes the reader back to the world of Anubis, Horus, and other Gods that have only lived in the history books. Whilst some of the puzzles unravel with some interesting plot twists, the majority of the questions from the beginning of the book remain unanswered, with the reader needing the next book to find out whether certain villains will be identified and bought to justice. An intriguing series concept that will leave readers questioning what will happen next.
