The Three Kitties That Saved My Life


NON FICTION, MEMOIR:  Michael Meyer is overcome with grief.  After his wife dies unexpectedly, he despairs of ever living or loving again.  Going to work, even leaving the house, become mountainous tasks.  Slowly, Mike resumes his life, and then he meets a cat named Coco.  He really doesn’t want a pet at this stage of his life, but he can’t say no to the bedraggled stray.  Mike finds that he appreciates Coco’s companionship but he's also ready for more.  After some initial misgivings, he “puts himself out there”, and meets a variety of mismatches through online dating – those dates alone could have been the subject of a book!  From there on we follow Mike on his search for love until he meets Kitty, the love of his life.  Then Pom Pom is introduced and the trio of Kitties and Mike continue to live, love and fight.

Mike Meyer pens a tender tale of love, loss, and renewal.  The depth of emotion is palpable, as Mike leads the reader through death, grief, recovery, and romance – the full range of emotions!  His descriptions of Coco, Pom Pom, and his relationship with Kitty are particularly engaging, and the reader will sorrow at his grief, and rejoice at his return to life.  The Three Kitties will tug at readers’ heartstrings, as they ride through the emotional highs and lows of Mike Meyer’s remarkable story.
