Genre:
Contemporary

The NFL’s top coach, Pete Sebastian (aka Coach Bass), is at the top of his game.  He’s ready to start a new phase in his life and the upcoming season should be a breeze, until the team is faced with an image change due to a player’s abusive behavior off the field.  Pete thought he was ready for anything the league could throw his way but wasn’t expecting the new team player.

Making your way in a male-dominated field can be grueling, but Jo Parker has worked her way up the ladder.  When she’s selected to turn around the image of the Connecticut Kings she finds herself in an uphill battle to prove herself while improving the team.

This steamy third installment of the First and Ten Series examines the complex worlds of male verses female job inequality and sexism in the work place, capturing the reader’s attention with an immediate volatile situation.  Ripped from recent national headlines, the author has embodied controversy and creative means of recovering much needed sanity in reality.  The tale details a healthy relationship between Pete and Jo, fraught with comprise and redemption that is highly believable.  However, some readers may feel the story lags at times and may be distracted by Jo’s self-esteem preoccupation, which is in contradiction with her tough-as-nails business savvy.  This is a stand-alone, feel-good story that will leave readers seeking more works by the author.
