After her husband dies unexpectedly, all that Tess Mathews can do is live her life day by day, sorrow making it seem impossible to go on.  So, when an opportunity comes up to go to Bora Bora, a special place for her and her husband, she decides to take the chance to finally say goodbye.

<--break->The last thing she expected is to meet someone, a man who could very easily steal her fragile heart.

Tom Clemmins, a Hollywood star came to Bora Bora for a much needed vacation. He spent most of his life trying hard to stay on top of his chosen profession, never taking time for himself, to simply relax. He never really expected to meet his soul mate after all those years of being alone.

Tom and Tess make a lovely couple. Tom has never really known love, and Tess just lost hers, so them finding each other was a true miracle. The time they spent on Bora Bora was magical, learning about each other and slowly falling in love – a true pleasure to read about. Unfortunately, the rest of the book didn’t live up to the promise of the first half. A lot of things happen: the paparazzi, the red carpet, the big misunderstanding (Tess jumping to conclusions and refusing to listen to explanations), Tom meeting Tess’ kids... Somehow, most of it seemed excessive and not important – their feelings were quite obvious after the first week they spent together, everything after that felt like it was dragging.  But it was still an interesting read with an attractive plot.
