Kasey Griffin has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, but is trying to live life to the fullest in spite of that. Out on the town with friends, she meets musician Ben Salem and feels an immediate connection. When he strolls into her bookstore and asks her to dinner, she can’t believe her good fortune. She wants to fall in love, but doesn’t want to saddle Ben with her problems. Can she trust that his feelings for her are more than skin deep?

This is a short novella that deals with some very serious issues regarding a life-altering disease. Kasey is trying to move forward with her life while dealing with the difficulties of her illness, and the reader gets a glimpse into what life is like for someone who suffers from MS. The story truly takes off when we are introduced to Ben, and both Kasey and Ben feel a spark between them from the moment they meet. Unfortunately, the short length of the story prevents the reader from truly experiencing any depth to the romance or dealing with Kasey’s disease as a couple. The author does provide just enough to keep the reader engaged, but needed a little more character development for the story to be memorable.  However, this short story does deliver on its promises for those who are looking for a quick, romantic bite of sweet romance.
