Vivia Tripoli is a writer who interviews people with tarnished reputations and gives them a second chance. “The Billionaire’s Second Chance” showcases Viv and Duke, two equally goal-driven, intense characters, knowing what they want out of life and doing whatever it takes to get it. Their story is told against the very realistic backdrop of Costa Rica which is described so well the reader is transported there. Secondary characters including Perry, Zander, and Betzy, liven up the piece, but their voices aren’t always distinct. Betzy helps to draw Viv out of her shell, and we get to see Viv bloom as an individual. Ms. Krey’s unique plot twist comes back to haunt the happy couple with a feeling of déjà vu on their special evening. It is a glorious tale of second chances and redemption as well as rekindled love and happily ever after.
