Enigma Tracer: Enigma Heirs-Book 1

SUSPENSE/THRILLER: Phillip Pliant is the CEO of Pliant Industries and a wealthy plastics broker. He manages multiple businesses (some of which are questionable), with his current ventures focused in the Caribbean. He has promised wealth and opportunity to the area but is failing to deliver. R-Group is now led by Gracie and the other family heirs. Her twin, JJ, is running CATS (Cyber Assassin Technology Services). Gracie and her best friend, Bailey, are recent graduates with advanced degrees from a college in Ireland. They both have jobs and have found significant others (Jeff and Keith). When they learn about Pliant’s nefarious dealings in the Caribbean, they decide to investigate with help from the CATS team and from Jeff and Keith. Certain lives hang in the balance while the team figures things out fast enough to make a difference.

This is a well-crafted story with incredible detail and a complex plot. The story incorporates current events and relevant technology in a clever way to make it believable. The authors have aged these characters over time. In the prior series, these ‘kids’ were being born, growing up, learning their craft, and training to take their place as leaders. Now they have taken over the responsibility of running the family ‘business,’ and they are the adults making the decisions—with both positive and negative ramifications. The conflicts and settings are relatable to people interested in current events and global issues.

Derek Shoales does a fantastic job narrating this audiobook. His accents and characterizations sound authentic and believable. It doesn’t even register as odd to hear a male narrator portraying the voices of various female characters. The production quality is excellent and there aren’t any unexpected noises or irregularities in the recording.
