PARANORMAL/SUSPENSE/THRILLER:  When Rory is shipped off to Trumbull, Connecticut, she feels like her life is over. All that changes, however, when she's asked to help a student named Bowen with a class project. What she doesn't expect is to end up in a graveyard researching the mystery of the White Lady. Rory ends up seeing a ghostly apparition and has a murder to solve, when all she really wanted to do was go home to Atlanta. As they work to solve the mystery, her family becomes concerned that she's on drugs and Bowen is pressuring her to do something she doesn't want to. As they work to identify the killer, they find themselves in danger, but must keep going to put the White Lady to rest.

Ghost stories are always fun, and when coupled with a murder mystery, it becomes even more gripping. That's what Lisa Acerbo has done; she has also brought in a teenager who feels out of place in a new town. The story begins right away and keeps going at a fast pace right until the end, with characters who are fun to read and work well together. This book is good for young adults and adults alike. Teens will be able to relate to what Rory is going through and adults will enjoy the mystery of the White Lady. Some of the writing feels a little repetitive but it doesn't detract from the overall appeal of "Wear White to Your Funeral".
