PARANORMAL:  Scout is just trying to get through the day, trying to avoid her ex-boyfriend and all the memories he dredges up.  When they’re assigned together for a science project, Trey hopes to reconnect with her somehow, while Scout just wants to be left alone.  The only bright spot in her life is her younger sister, Lil Bit.  Lil Bit worships Scout, and the two sisters are exceptionally close.  That’s why Scout is so worried, Lil Bit keeps having dreams and visions about soul snatchers and unicorns.  Things are difficult for her at school, the other kids make fun of her, Scout can’t be with her all the time to protect her.   But the soul stealers are real and when they steal Lil Bit’s soul, Scout decides to take action.  Lil Bit told Scout the unicorns would protect her, but how does she find them?  All she has to do is...BELIEVE...and the unicorns do appear, However, this battle is much bigger, and involves more than just her human world.

Wendy Knight pens a riveting tale of the imaginary, with unicorns and monsters, good versus evil.  Readers will immediately be drawn into this amazing fantasy realm as they learn to love the characters as they watch them learn and grow. The relationship between Scout and Trey has just the right amount of tension, and the introduction of Kylin as Trey’s current girlfriend adds another dynamic to the story.  The books leaves lots of threads hanging, which can be very frustrating. Still, book two is sure to be a thriller and judging by this engaging beginning, it will not disappoint!
