When her long-time boyfriend sees something he shouldn’t have on a ferry home from a holiday, everything in Stacey’s world gets turned upside down. School officials find drugs in her boyfriend’s backpack and he is expelled from school. She finds drugs in her own backpack, fortunately before the school does, and then she discovers the bags used to store the drugs in her school’s cafeteria. Will Hallie figure out who the suspects are before it is too late? Will she be able to restore her boyfriend’s good name or will she fall prey to the ruthless killers?

Stacey R. Campbell has created a unique story that consists of characters that readers will want to root for and a plot that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. She has expertly defined the word ‘Scream’ in the design of her book. Readers will want to scream at the injustice of the treatment of Hallie and her friends and then will want to scream when Hallie gets herself in a pinch. “Scream : A Lakeview Novel” has some grammatical errors in it but it doesn’t take away from the well written plot of the story. "Scream" receives four stars for the fascinating characters and thrill ride readers experience.
