THRILLER:   Jasmine’s life hadn’t been normal since the murder of her older sister Daisy two years ago. Since the monster that murdered Daisy was never caught, her family decided to move away from Southern California to Lafayette, Louisiana for a fresh start. It seems to be working: good manners, new friends, and the most gorgeous boy she has ever met is interested in her. Life would be perfect if odd things didn’t keep happening. Could the Monster have followed them to Lafayette? Was he coming after her this time? Maybe she was just worrying unnecessarily…or not.

Though slow to start, the story is enjoyable, the characters are clearly defined and the reader quickly becomes engrossed in Jasmine’s plight. On one hand she struggles to maintain a normal life, on the other she fights to keep the creepy and disturbing “pranks” from ruining her life. Jasmine is a strong female character. She doesn’t fight who she is and even when making dumb decisions, she follows through in a clever manner. The prank wars between her and her younger brother will make the reader laugh. The love interest, Easton, is everything a girl wants in a Southern knight, charming, the quarterback, and protective to a fault. He sees right through Jasmine and tells her so. Although the insta-love is annoying, readers will alternatively sigh, smile, giggle, yell in outrage, cringe, gasp, pray, and sigh with a smile again before the story ends!
