Terminal Life: A Suited Hero Novel

Richard
Torregrossa
Genre:
Suspense-Thriller

After a second tour in Afghanistan, former Navy Seal Luke Stark is back in New York and living in a shelter. Luke suffers from PTSD and has been diagnosed with a form of cancer. The one way he feels his usual self and in control is wearing his custom tailored suit. While Luke was overseas his wife Crissy was working at his uncles' locksmith shop and was brutally murdered.  Luke is determined to find her killers and seek revenge. Luke is also a father and wants to reconnect with his son who he has not seen in over a year. Can this Seal find the answers he needs before his time runs out or will his reckless behavior do him in early?

Mr. Torregrossa has a knack for action-packed suspense! This story begins with multiple, unexpected injuries and murders. The writing is deft, the characters are well-developed and easy to relate to. However, seventy-one chapters for this 263 page book is excessive. The chapters were very short and did not always change point of view or a situation, leaving the reader wondering why the sudden stops. The family bond between the two veterans is heartwarming and well-portrayed. The romance that develops, and its result, will take readers by surprise and makes for a great finale to the dangerous revenge spree. High drama, murders and a handsomely suited hero keep this story at an even pace , climaxing in an uplifting ending many may not see coming.
