Genre:
Suspense-Thriller

Clay Wolfe has been working hard ever since leaving the Boston PD and opening his own detective agency. With his partner, Baylee Baker, he is tasked with finding a missing girl in the midst of a spate of attacks. It will be no easy task for Clay and his people as they risk their lives to figure out who is behind all these horrible deeds. Will Clay be able to bring safety and peace of mind to the residents of Port Essex, Maine? Or is Clay fighting a losing battle where he could lose everything he holds dear?

What really stands out in this book is the first page. To say that it pulls the reader in would be one of the biggest understatements of the year. It hits every emotion possible, and the story doesn’t let up until the last page. The descriptions are just right and don’t give too much away or drone on. Clay is a very likeable character, and readers will enjoy the dialogue between him and his partner. “Mind Trap” is thriller, suspense, and mystery wrapped into a neat bundle and topped off with some great writing and character dynamics. The action is swift, so there will be some very fast page turning needed to find out what is going to happen next. A must read for 2021 and definitely a series to keep a close eye on. Matt Cost has blown it out of the water with this one. It’s intriguing, intense and absolutely irresistible.
