Suspense-Thriller

Klara is working on her senior thesis while also working at a preschool in Los Angeles, CA. She’s also a talented computer software developer. While visiting her sister and brother-in-law she sees a man she recognizes from their wedding - one she hoped she’d never see again. Vlad is a Russian immigrant and savvy venture capitalist who works with her brother-in-law from time to time. Once they get reacquainted they can’t deny the attraction between them. Will his drunken first impression ruin any future chances? Vlad has a daughter who is his main priority and keeps Klara at a slight distance. After a shocking murder, life changes for the entire lot and they hope they aren't next on the list.

The twists and turns just keep coming in “A Matter of Trust”!  A bit of suspense and a ton of mystery are blended with just enough romance to tie this into one creative tale. Authentic Russian phrases allow readers to get to know Vlad, although they are not always easy to pronounce. The compassion he shows for his daughter is endearing and will automatically have readers cheering him on as he fights not only his ex-wife and her irrational demands but also the law so he can keep his citizenship. Some predictability and a slow-moving pace drags this story out a bit, but overall it’s a standalone book in a series where the hero and heroine come out victorious and the good guys can claim the win.
