Suspense-Thriller

It is March of the year 2224 when John Smith wakes up in a hospital with memories of fighting, but when and where, he can’t remember. As John is evaluating what state his body is in, the door bursts open and a woman, Fallon Monroe, along with a small boy, who is a clone, enters his room. John doesn’t know why, but it is suddenly his mission to protect the woman and child at all costs. John escapes the hospital with Fallon and the clone, whose name is Jamie, with minutes to spare. They are being chased by the government, New Rights Evangelists, regular citizens and even the military. It is a race against time for Fallon, Jamie and John to find safety and security in a world of danger. That’s if love doesn’t end up killing them first.

The story moves quickly, filled with lots of action, nail biting suspense and romance. The reader will definitely enjoy the fast pace. The book is set in the future, but very little about the time period is alluded to or explained. John, a soldier with PTSD, has looks that are somewhat vague, but he is someone the reader can sympathize with and really like despite his demeanor. Fallon is a good, strong heroine, but her behavior doesn’t seem to fit her profession. Still, readers will be able to relate to her. With each scary close call, readers will feel compelled to find out if the characters can finally be safe and find their happily ever after.
