The Fairest of Them (Rae Hatting Mysteries Book 2)

Luke Thomson is a detective with a stellar arrest record for serial killers. He moves to California to get away from it all and lose himself in the backwoods. What he finds, however, is another serial killer with a fascination with fairy tales. When the FBI is called in they send an agent who quickly becomes involved with Luke and then becomes another victim of the serial killer. Luke is then lost in his own little world and refuses to come out for just anyone. But, when the same serial killer begins to kill again a new FBI agent is assigned to the case. When she is also captured by the killer Luke refuses to allow anyone else to die on his watch.

Heather Osborne knows how to write a thriller! She has a way with words that keeps a reader front and center to all the action going on in the story. Heather is inventive and informative and allows the reader to see what is happening in the story in their own mind’s eye. “The Fairest of Them” is not another bland thriller/mystery novel. It is a well written story about love, loss, murder, and life. Readers will be enthralled from the first page and won’t be able to put this book down until they find out exactly what happens to Luke and Rae. Five stars for a book well done!
