Rocco Silas is broken.  Haunted by his deep-cover past in Afghanistan and the nightmares that torment him stateside, he is virtually homeless.  When a Special Ops buddy calls in a favor, he shows up at Mandy Fielding's ranch to work at her therapeutic riding centre.  
Mandy has promised her brother that she would take on his military buddy as a ranch hand, but once she sees Rocco she realizes that he is much, much more than she bargained for.  For Rocco, Mandy holds the key to his sanity, and for Mandy - Rocco just might be the man of her dreams.

Strap in and hold on for an intense, steamy read!  Rocco ranks up there with one of best tortured Heroes in recent memory and the author's portrayal of his PTSD is heartbreaking.  Mandy and Rocco have amazing chemistry and the first half of the book, which is dedicated to their story, is excellent.

This book is the first of a series and the second half of the story is where the suspense plot kicks in and the world-building begins.  Ultimately this is where the book suffers a bit, as there are so many characters being introduced it all becomes a bit over the top and stretches credulity as the author sets up future Heroes for the series.

At the end of day, though, this is a smoking hot, action packed thrill ride that will leave the reader breathless and clamoring for more of the Red Team!
