Moonlit Magic (The Thorne Witches Book 9)

Liz Thorne comes from a powerful family of witches, so it's a shock when her magic disappears. The last person she wants to turn to for help is Rafe Xuereb, the man who broke her heart four years ago, yet the two team up to track down who is attacking the Thorne family, which leads them to the Aether, a being capable of destroying all witches. They discover the Aether's daughter is under attack and form an uneasy alliance. But dark forces are converging, and old grudges are being pursued into the present. As Liz and Rafe race to find answers, they learn that true magic lies in love and forgiveness, and that their second chance at love might have come too late because the enemy is closer than they think.

"Moonlit Magic" is a thrilling ride that will delight fans of T.M. Cromer's Thorne Witches series! There is no shortage of exciting scenes and emotional tugs to the heartstrings. This is book 9 in the series and a number of characters from previous stories make appearances, which will appeal to readers of those stories. For new readers to the series, it is difficult to keep track of who’s who, even with the brief descriptions, and unfortunately they took focus away from the main characters. The world building is rich with ties to Egyptian gods and elemental magic. Rafe and Liz are strong characters, but their romance seemed to take a back seat to everything else happening in this fast-paced story. Nonetheless, "Moonlit Magic" weaves a gripping plot of betrayal, trust, and love, that will leave readers spellbound!
