Like a Pale Moon (Voices of the Dead)

CNF:  The story is set in two different places with several characters that are obviously interconnected, and the plot flip flops between the two a lot. The story also takes up where the previous book left off without any kind of back story to let readers know what is going on or how the characters are connected.  If readers have not read any of the previous books in the series, they will feel confused and lost with no way to form any connection with or understanding of the plot, series or characters.
