The first in the “Kindling Flames” series, and part one of two, “Gathering Tinder” is a must-read for any lover of paranormal romance. Although the story isn’t completely new (average human with a few unique talents finds herself working for extremely handsome and powerful vampire with romance simmering between the two), there is something undeniably catching about this book. Readers won’t be able to put it down and will promptly find themselves buying books two, three, and pre-ordering four for good measure if only because the cliff hanger at the end of this book needs its conclusion. The world and characters are steadily introduced without info-dumping, the pace is steady, the mystery slowly unfolds, and romance grows all resulting in one fabulous can’t put down read!
