Haunted Hearts

SUSPENSE/THRILLER:  Thrilled with her inheritance, Callie Thompson moves to the small town of Shadow Valley and into her new home. When the lights start to flicker and strange noises continue, she becomes uneasy about staying in the old house. Sheriff Carter Landry doesn’t have time to investigate things that go bump in the night and he knows Callie’s house isn’t haunted. As Callie and Carter give in to their mutual attraction, the strange occurrences have Carter believing someone is intentionally scaring her and Callie is beginning to believe that a ghost from the past wants her man.

Readers are quickly pulled into this story as the author brilliantly sets the mood for this romance — one that will send chills running up and down one’s spine and hold readers hostage until the very end. Callie and Carter are two strong and convincing characters that readers can easily relate to, while the thrilling suspense of the story holds them in thrall. The author has created such a well-developed setting that readers can easily imagine every event that takes place, events that cause the heart to race and has anticipation building throughout this fast-paced and smooth-flowing plot. Lots of believable events and wonderful secondary characters add to the ambiance and the possibility that this ghost story could be very real and with lots of electrical chemistry flowing between the hero and heroine along with quite a few surprising twists, there is never a dull moment and readers will not want to put the book down!
