Shirakaya is the leader of a motley crew of mercenaries, who are trying to do several things. They need to earn money, so they take on mercenary missions.
This story deserves 6 stars! Keilah is the actual princess of Carrum Bahl, and is sent forward in time by the sorcerer Brekan to find Radin Hawk, but gets captured by slave traders instead. Hawk witnesses her capture on the beach from a high bluff, but loses her in the nearby city. As he is leaving the city, he spots her displayed as a slave.
Chase Bishop is a long-haul trucker who returns to Altuna, Pennsylvania from a trip to discover that his autistic sister, Cassie, has been murdered. He finds a business card in her possession, which leads him to Dark Hollow Lake, TN. Once he arrives, Melinda Bradley nearly hits him with her car, and he hits his head.
When Douglas “Devil” Ashton, Lord Deveril, returns to England from his exile to India, he determines to find his sister, Alice. Alice, seduced by a gold digger, was abandoned by her cheapskate father. Devil finds his sister only to lose her to death but promises on her deathbed to take care of her daughter Marina.
FANTASY: When Lucien Mordain, a dragon shifter and duke of the underworld finds Aideen Pengalon and her uncle being chased on his land he suspects a trap. As he begins to get to know them, he confirms his suspicions about Aideen’s uncle’s sinister intentions, but his dragon heart recognizes Aideen as his mate.
