Ridge is bemoaning the fact his parents are getting a divorce. His father had a previous family of girls, unbeknownst to him, and his mother wants to set him up with a debutante at Thanksgiving. Papi, his fraternity brother, has the perfect solution for him. Crush, the Delta frat Vice President, is running a makeover contest for the pledges. As Sargent-at-Arms, he too, should participate as an example, but take the girl he makes over – clothes, hair, makeup, home to his mom and claim she is his girlfriend. Ridge meets Karrie at a Delta function and tells her the plan. She agrees to help him because it will make her cheating ex-boyfriend jealous. Only fate has something different planned for this fake boyfriend/girlfriend pair. Will they be able to fight their attraction?

“Frat House Confessions: Ridge” is a fast, fun read delving into the world of the fraternity. Ms. Lopez does a remarkable job building a believable fraternity with members and their varied personalities. The premise of the story is hilarious, and it’s entertaining to watch Ridge and Karrie’s relationship evolve. Ridge’s mother, Susan Temple and Crush although important characters, have no depth. Several pledges appear in the story just to fill up the house but have no other use or names. Even though chapters are labeled, it is sometimes hard to determine who is speaking. There is some rehashing of how Ridge’s father treated him at home before college. All in all, a humorous story, “Frat House Confessions: Ridge” will have one reaching for the next book in the series.
