Genre:
Mystery

Sarah James is a doctor in her second year of residency at a local hospital. She lives in an apartment building that consists mostly of elderly people. The ladies are the Fog Ladies, and they solve mysteries. While on vacation at a family resort, Sarah meets a couple with a young child. Later, when she has returned home and is back at the hospital, she learns the mother of the child has been murdered and her husband is the accused. Sarah, along with the Fog Ladies begin to investigate not only this murder, but two others with eerily similar circumstances. Will Sarah and her neighbors figure out the mystery before Sarah’s best friend Helen becomes the next victim?

This book captures the readers’ interest and carries it through to the end. The characters are a lively bunch, easy to imagine, and are people everyone can relate to. There is humor mixed in with the mystery which made this book a delight and joy to read. These ladies have diverse personalities, come from all walks of life, and are widowed for the most part. The author does a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life and showcasing that life doesn’t end at fifty. The character of Sarah, though a generation or two younger than the Fog Ladies, is a compassionate, fun, and likable character who gets right into the thick of things with her zany neighbors. This book is sure to delight readers of all ages!
