Mystery

Determined to catch the con-artist who ran away with her grandmother's life savings, Elle Reagan decides to take matters into her own hands instead of waiting for justice. After tracking him to a ski resort in Colorado, Elle puts her plan into action. What she didn’t expect was for her brother’s best friend to appear in the guise of her roommate to stop her. Logan has resisted Elle since they were teenagers and when his best friend asks him to keep his sister out of trouble, that’s exactly what he plans to do. Unfortunately, when Elle is discovered, a killer is intent on making her his next victim and Logan won’t let that happen, at any cost.

This book throws you straight into the action and introduces the key players of the story. The relationship and back and forth between Elle and Logan is good; however, the book was a little too short and more character development could have been explored had it been longer. The premise of the story is promising and it combines a good romance with a classic whodunit.  The book seems a bit rushed and needs more relevant information added about the characters, particularly the past concerning Elle’s grandmother being conned. Some more details would have added meat to the book and made it flow a lot easier. There is potential with this series and it will be good to see how the rest of the series turns out.
