WOMEN'S FICTION:  Lacey Chandler is constantly battling to keep from using food to comfort her. Everything in life seems to be going against her. As her depression reaches a critical point, she takes drastic action. When she suddenly finds herself in the role of mother, she must bring herself together for the sake of the child. Her best friend Toby Wheeler is there for her, but he’s fighting his own battle. Both ask God to help them through their difficult times. Can they get through the challenges of life and find one another?

This book is a hidden gem - one of those reads that is not easy to forget and will hit the reader in the heart at certain points. There is an immediate connection with and sympathy for Lacey and the feeling of wanting her to succeed in everything she puts her effort to. It’s one of those books that will have the reader screaming at the top of their lungs in the hopes that the characters can hear.

Moving at an even pace, it has a great little mystery in it too, and a male character that isn’t seen all too often - he’s a normal everyday guy doing his job which is refreshing. This book is an emotional roller coaster that will stay with the reader for a long while after it's read!
