Drake, the Duke of Ravenscar, feels tremendous pressure to make the Chadwick Theatre a big success. Having booked the premiere ballerina Mademoiselle Taglioni for the theatre’s opening, Drake is feeling confident. However, the famous dancer bails on him, at the eleventh hour. A talented understudy, Britannia LeClair, is brought in to take her place.

Lady Georgiana is engaged to the Duke of Fordham, though she’s not particularly keen on the prospect. She admires him but doesn’t love him—not passionately. But she knew she would have to make an advantageous marriage, so things could be worse. Unfortunately, worse happens.

Tenner isn’t bothered by the ghostly rumors surrounding Baiadepaura Castle, but he isn’t excited about bringing his new wife, Analyla St.
