REGENCY:  Katrina Needham is a saucy young lady in a time when ladies are meant to be seen, rather than heard. Keeping her tongue is not a skill she is very good at. However, she is a truly kind young woman with a heart of gold. She has been raised well by her parents and has even overcome the stigma of not being born into the upper class. Betrothed to a soldier, she sees nothing wrong with helping an unmarried man find a wife. What risk could there possibly be?

Captain Dominic St. Monte is a sailor; the sea is his one true love. Yet, he also harbors a strong affection for his elderly aunt. It is through his aunt that he meets Miss Needham and shares the tale of his newfound position as the Duke of Pendergast. At this time a plot is hatched to find the Duke a wife and to assist him in getting know his two step sisters who have never met him.

"To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart" is a marvelously written novella that encompasses everything a full-length novel should have. Well-rounded characters, check. Solid plot and consistent story line - check. There is nothing lacking within this novella. Start to finish it is a delightful read! Every emotional connection that could possibly happen does, and is tactfully represented. To not fall in love with these characters would be utterly surprising. Ms. Cameron knows her craft and plies it well. There is no doubt that reading a book by Ms. Cameron is worthwhile.
