Posey (Brides of New Hope Book 2)

Jo-Ann
Roberts
Genre:
Historical

Posey Campbell has suffered an ill-fated relationship and has resigned herself to remaining single. She doesn’t understand why her family and friends insist on trying to matchmake her with their acquaintances. As New Hope’s schoolteacher, she has plenty of reasons to be content until a trail-worn U.S Marshal arrives in town with a smile that threatens to upend her plans. Grayson Barrett is happy to be in New Hope on temporary assignment. A reprieve from hunting outlaws is overdue. Yet he never expected to find love, and when a set of orphans needing a family cross his path, a life he thought he’d never have is suddenly possible. When secrets come to light, love is put to the test, and with outlaws on the move, an old nemesis just might make or break all their futures.

A slow moving, simmering western romance, “Posey” is a sweet tale of old heartaches finding hope. Featuring many characters from the previous book, this tale can stand-alone but is best read in order. Full of ups and downs, the characters are well developed and readers become engrossed in Posey’s secret and the effects. While the romance itself is typical of the genre and the action is minimal, the rest of the story is full of lawmen and independent teachers, gunfights, cute kids, heart wrenching sorrows, revenge, and healing love. With so much to recommend it and a simmering relationship to move it, lovers of this type of historical romance won’t want to miss out!
