Clara Van Hoosan is on her way from Amsterdam to McClintock, Texas to help young Daniel McClintock regain the ability to walk. She also wants to marry and have children like her siblings have done. Sir Marcus de Harte has a falling out with his family and leaves and joins a mummers troupe.
