Genre:
Historical

“The Two Bells of Christmas” by Joanna Barker tells the tale of identical twin sisters who journey to the home of Roland Hastings, the eligible bachelor Vivian has set her sights on. Vivian falls ill on the trip and convinces her twin to pretend to be her so she won’t lose her chance at winning Roland’s heart. The sisters are polar opposites in everything but looks, so Cassandra struggles to be Vivian… often with humorous results. But what happens when Roland falls for the wrong twin?

“Promise Me Again” by Annette Lyon brings to life the forbidden love story of Miriam, a sheep farmer’s daughter, and Jacob, younger brother to pompous older brother, Norman. Norman forbids Jacob to marry Miriam, but Jacob plans a secret Christmas Eve wedding. Tragedy strikes and the wedding never happens. One year later, having left the controlling influence of his brother, Jacob is performing at a Christmas concert when he sees Miriam in the audience… Can the miracle of Christmas bring these two sweet souls their happily ever after?

“A Christmas Journey” by Jennifer Moore introduces Lucy, the daughter left behind when her father went off to war, longing to spend Christmas with him. Things don’t go to plan when another soldier brings Lucy word her father isn’t coming. Lucy embarks on the journey to London to get her Christmas with her father, no matter what. Captain James Stewart reluctantly winds up accompanying her, and the journey brings them both far more than they could imagine.

An utterly delightful set of feel-good Christmas novellas. Due to the length of novellas, there isn’t room for a lot of depth and development to the characters, but it doesn’t spoil the stories. They will bring a smile to the face of any reader who loves clean romance stories.
