Ms. Freeman gives her readers a sweet tale of love, friendship and family. On the surface this book may seem just another tale of good girl meets playboy. However, as the story progresses and more layers are peeled back on these characters, much more depth is revealed. Ms. Freeman takes the time to let her characters get to know each other, progressing from new-found friendship to deep-seated love. The reader may find themselves frustrated by Melanie's inability to move past her prejudices, making the story drag at times. However the humor, genuine emotions and believability of these characters will leave the reader heaving a happy sigh at book's end.
