Various authors have come together under the theme of “winter” to provide short romantic stories. Whether there is a storm raging outside, or one inside your heart, this anthology is full of references to the cold and icy world of harshness and winter juxtaposed with the first blush of love and all that goes along with it to warm you up.

The authors and stories are varied in this anthology: romantic short stories from couples who are first meeting at an ice sculpture, to attempted murderers trying to make it look like they’re in love, and even a more fantasy-related story of love in an animal family. There were also a wide variety of settings from office romances, to a cold wilderness and the go-to safe place for any reader, during a winter storm in a warm library.

Several authors in the anthology had obvious writing skills in short story form and readers will be anxious to look them up and find more of their work. Other writers struggled to truly make the short story format work with their characters and left the reader unsatisfied when the story seemed more like a beginning with no middle or conclusion, and was just cut off. However, with nineteen stories included in the anthology, there were diamonds to be found, and readers are sure to find a favorite.
