Sasha (Sasha #1)

Tonya
Plank
Genre:
Contemporary

Sasha needs a ballroom dance partner. He believes he has found not only his partner, but his soul mate in Rory. She is everything he wants and reminds him of a love he once lost in Russia. Rory has issues of her own to overcome, demons that she must face in order to finally be happy. As they go through their journey, facing their fears together, they must fight to be with one another while working hard on their dancing to win the competition.

Told in the first person, this story is from Sasha's point of view.  He is a very deep and emotional character, however can be very abrupt and overly firm when it comes to criticizing his dance partners. There are characters in this book that will have the reader growling at the page and they stir up some real emotion. Love scenes sizzle with passion and flow very nicely along with the story and development. Tonya Plank has a nice writing style - she ascribes to the 'write what you know' style, as she is a ballroom dancer herself. Her knowledge and passion flows onto the page which adds to the pleasure of reading this book. "Sasha" is an excellent read, and one that will entice readers to read more of Ms. Plank's books and eagerly await the next installment of Sasha and Rory's story.
