WESTERN:  Riley returns home to Clifton when he receives word his father has passed. He can think of nothing better than flattening the farmhouse he’d suffered in as a boy. After leaving the abuse behind, Riley created a life for himself with good business sense and no end to beautiful women. When he returns home, Kaitlyn Parker has grown up and has a sweet little daughter. She’s also his best friend’s sister. What could wrong? When ghosts from the past rise up, this time Riley doesn’t run away, he finds the answers and love.

Forgiveness and a chance for a new future make “Riley, Men of Clifton, Montana” worth a western romance reader’s time. Riley and Kaitlyn are two sweet people who deserve happiness and each other. Riley is a bit of a man-whore until he gets his priorities in order, but that comes with the secrets locked within this story. The plot is easy to follow, but redundancy in the beginning where Riley visits Kaitlyn with pizza in hand, bouncing the baby on his lap followed by sex three times in a row could have used a little variation. Riley’s mother’s excuses for abandonment may not rally readers. Emotion and character traits reel the reader into the story. Kaitlyn’s strength in her decisions is admirable. Ms. Davis also spotlights some of the other favorite characters from Clifton and that’s always fun for followers of the series.

Riley's is a sweet story, with a twist of bitter and a sigh of satisfaction when all is wrapped up in a fulfilling conclusion.
