Jessica Butler-Reid fears she’ll step into her mother’s footsteps - organizing bake-offs and gathering money for the church’s charities, all the while playing devoted wife to her minister husband. But Jessica doesn’t want that: she wants adventure, to live her life to the fullest and to enjoy every minute of it. When she posts a request for advice on the internet and meets Whip, an Australian cattle rancher, and the two of them start chatting, Jessica realizes he might just be the way out she’s been looking for. But she only knows Whip from communicating with him through email, and she has no idea what he’s like in real life.

Deciding to be spontaneous rather than boring for once in her life, Jessica goes on the adventure of a lifetime to meet Whip and spend two weeks with him, halfway across the world. He could be a killer or a madman, or he could be the one she’s been waiting for her entire life.

From the moment Jessica and Whip meet in real life, the chemistry between them is obvious. Jessica is a strong, independent character, and Whip is funny and the type of person one can depend upon. Together they make an interesting pairing. They go on a tour of Australia and visit quite a few places, which are described in detail and make the book all the more realistic. The writing is decent, and the plot had a few surprising twists.
