Cora Fletcher has everything the way she wants it. She’s just broken up with Jackson, her too-adventurous-for-her boyfriend. She is loving her job in public relations and in her downtime she can unashamedly curl up with a good book. With her best friend and roommate, Fran, and her cat, Kiwi, by her side, she is living her best life; until she opens an email from her mom. It turns out her mom and dad want to extend to her and all of their family an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii. This is Cora’s worst nightmare. She has always felt like the unattached outcast as the middle child to siblings Shawn and Maya and their spouses. What’s worse? Her mom and Maya conspire to reunite her with Jackson on the trip. Add in an aunt who drinks a little too much and family friends, including a childhood crush, all joining the melee, and this is sure to be a trip to remember.

Grab yourself a tropical drink and prepare to lose yourself in this delightfully, clean romantic comedy. From page one readers will feel Cora’s anxiety at the mere thought of going on this trip. This pleasingly paced novel will keep readers turning the pages as events, both cringe-worthy and hilarious, unfold. As some relationships are tested to their limits, others develop an even deeper bond which is equally needed. The writings structure and formatting is hard to follow at times, making it difficult to know who’s speaking. This is most frustrating in the characters text messages etc.  Characters could also use a bit more depth. Still, Readers will finish this book with a smile on their faces, looking forward to the next book in this series.
