Rhine Parrish loves Aidyn McNeil. Even after all these years, and even though he left town years ago. She has a daughter and a boyfriend, and works at the bakery she owns with her beloved stepmother. Rhine is fairly happy with her life - even when her biological mother shows up after being a non-mom for 25 years. This makes for a chaotic life, one that getting involved with Aidyn isn’t going to help. When Aidyn shows up after being gone for years, Rhine is drawn to him like a moth to a flame.

Aidyn McNeil has a reputation of being a “love ‘em and leave ‘em” kind of a guy. Coming back to his home town, his best friend Rhine can only help heal his broken heart. Sitting in a bar…things take an intimate turn and they burn up the sheets in a passion-filled night. The next morning throws Rhine into a tail-spin, and things begin to fall apart. Secrets will be revealed and whom she hurts the most is yet to be determined.

“Green-Eyed Girl” is a friends-to-lovers romance that will make one root for Rhine and Aidyn. There is a lot to take in with the main plot and numerous sub-plots to keep track of.  Sadly, the strange use of hyphens and ellipses throws the reader out of the story quite frequently, which makes staying interested difficult. The story is a trope done often, and is quite predictable. With some major editing and tightening of all of the plot lines, this has the potential to be a great tale.
