When Willow and Kyle Scott’s parents are killed in a car accident, Kyle gives up everything to raise fifteen year-old Willow. He is a student at Harvard when the tragedy occurs and Willow becomes the center of his world. Kyle then joins the MMA and begins cage fighting to make a living for the two of them. Now, Willow is twenty and in love with Kyle’s best friend, Regan. Regan feels the same way about Willow, but fails to act upon it because he knows Kyle will kill him for going after his little sister. Then one day, the two can no longer fight the attraction, but they decide not to tell Kyle, afraid of the repercussions.

Characters are bigger than life in this story that is set in the MMA world. Each of these individuals has a unique depth to them that makes a reader feel as though they know these people. On the downside, it is difficult to know who is talking, because they all talk with the same vulgar mouth. There is profuse cursing throughout the piece that takes value away from the story. The tragedy that follows Willow is predictable and formulaic. The guys also think that fighting is the only way to solve anything, which becomes tiresome. This is the fourth in a series of novels but it works well as a stand-alone story.
