SUSPENSE/THRILLER:  Julian Bennet and Zaya Altes have finally found true love with one another. On the day Julian buys her an engagement ring, Zaya is kidnapped by international terrorist Nazer al-Raimi. In Nazer’s prison, Zaya is tortured for information about Julian. It takes nearly six months for Julian to find her and rescue her from Nazer’s clutches. Once free, they can resume their relationship where they left off... or can they? When Zaya is offered the chance for vengeance on her captor, she is quick to take it. In doing so, she may have put more at risk besides her life.

Ms. Coulter Bellon has successfully woven together a novel that is suspenseful, action-packed, and romantic! While this is the third book in the series, it reads well as a stand-alone. There are a few places where previous books might provide some helpful context, however. Julian and Zaya have a beautiful relationship built on a foundation of friendship as well as attraction. Throughout the novel, readers will be rooting for more than just their survival, but also that their love prevails over all. This book does contain scenes with torture in them.

Mr. Wright does an amazing job at bringing to life the characters in this novel. His narrative performance is even and steady. At some of the slower moments of the story, it is easy to get lost in his wonderful voice. In dialogue scenes, each characters’ emotions are vivid and realistically portrayed, making the more emotional or action-filled scenes truly come to life!

This slow burn military story will leave readers who are looking for a solid romance mixed with thrills hungry for more!
