When Nicole's father dies, she is thrown into a world of panic and painful memories. She begins to remember things about her stepmother Sharon, and the pain she endured at Sharon’s hands. Completely rattled, Nicole begins digging into her past, and strange things are starting to take place. She is seeing a figure watch her around town, her car is almost run off the freeway, and one of Nicole’s children is kidnapped. Nicole is unable to simply sit around, and on the advice of her therapist, writes everything down in the hope that it will help her confront her memories head on and find her daughter.

"Hush Girl: It's Only a Dream" is a heart-pounding thriller, sure to raise readers' blood pressure! From the very beginning, the plot picks up speed and refuses to slow down. It gives an excellent psychological view of what childhood trauma can do to a person, even into their adult years. The story holds an enthralled audience in its grasp, leaving members gasping and squirming, trying to guess at the next set of events. The largest detail to overlook, however, is logistical — namely, how certain aspects could be pulled off. The other drawback to reading this book is that it ends.  Well done!
