Conspiracy of Lies

At Sarah’s urging, Claire finally opens up to her daughter about her past. As she recounts the story of her life to her daughter, she tells of lies, betrayal, government cover-ups, and much more. 

The amount of historical information presented in this novel is absolutely amazing. The author gives detailed, precise facts about World War II and the French Resistance. Kathryn Gauci does a phenomenal job of intertwining a love story with historical truths. However, for readers looking for a historical romance novel, this likely will not fit the bill. Although there are a couple of romantic scenes, "Conspiracy of Lies" is not a historical romance; it is more historical fiction. However, the story will keep readers in suspense and wanting more.  Lovers of historical fiction, especially World War II-era,  will be enthralled by the twists and turns of this story of the French Resistance.
