Suspense-Thriller

The Cleveland Browns begin to fall apart after a player is murdered, and Stacy Tavitt is lead investigator on the case. Stacy was almost killed in a botched undercover operation and is just back to work after a medical leave. Her injuries have effected her health, stamina and performance, and she is feels under pressure to prove she can handle her job. Her brother Chance lives with her, which has its own challenges.  Stacy is not very social and throws herself into her work, which is also a detriment to her health. Can Stacy solve the case and stay alive? Can she also find balance in her family life?

“Code for Murder” has a little something for everyone. There is the murder of a famous and well-liked NFL football player to solve, with not much evidence to go on. The heroine has health issues, family issues, and works herself sick most of the time. She is dedicated and well drawn as the main character; however she is a little intense. The story itself is not a unique one but the added subplots give depth and drama to the story. Supporting characters are also well played, although sometimes there are a few too many to track. The plot has a steady flow, and the story will delight both football and whodunit fans alike.
