Genre:
Suspense-Thriller

When three American tourists disappear in France, the first suspect is their American guide, Leon Beaudet. As the FBI tries to make sense of it all — were the women taken, or did they simply walk away from their tour — Leon remains their primary suspect. His tour company comes highly recommended and he proudly continues his tours, although he is extremely cautious with his guests. Once he lays eyes on Aline, a young woman joining his newest tour who resembles the missing women, Leon’s life becomes an interesting, suspenseful drama. Will Leon prove his innocence? Will more women be in danger? Will the women who have disappeared be found alive?

With “Cezanne’s Ghost”, author Rolynn Anderson has done her research. She skillfully brings the history of France into the pages of her story, and paints perfect pictures of the characters and settings.  A slow-paced mystery, this novel could make readers feel as though they are reading a Nancy Drew novel — there are gripping moments throughout the story but for the most part the plot is very predictable.  A hint of romance within the mystery is a saving grace for the storyline. Mystery fans will love this one!
